1. Smell the smell (suitable for acid glass glue)

Acidic glass glue contains acetic acid, which will produce sourness during the volatilization process, but generally speaking, the better the quality of the glue, the lighter the sourness; the worse the quality of the glue, the stronger the sourness (because the more acetic acid is added), good quality The smell of glue disappears quickly during the curing process; but the sour smell of poor-quality glass glue takes much longer to evaporate.

2. Specific gloss

After printing glass glue of different quality, the gloss will be different. The color of high-quality glass glue is very strong after curing, while some low-quality glass glue has no gloss after printing, and some lose gloss after curing for one or two months.

3. Check the particles

High-quality glass glue is a chemically synthesized material that has been fully stirred and uniform. The texture is fine and uniform. After sizing and curing, it is smooth and smooth; there are some visible particles and debris in the low-quality glass glue. The surface of the glue strip after sizing and curing is not as smooth as high-quality glue. smooth.

4. Look at those bubbles

The main component of high-quality glass glue is silicone resin, and the amount of other additives is very small. Pure silica gel has good stability and is less affected by changes in external conditions during storage. When sizing, there will be no "pop" and "pop" bubbles caused by the air mixing in the bottle. However, since the glue of inferior silicone glass glue is not 100% silica gel, the additives in the plastic bottle silica gel and PE soft glue may produce chemical reactions, which will increase the expansion of the plastic bottle, and the air left in the space will penetrate into the glue to create gaps. When glue is applied, it will make a "pop, pop" bubble sound, thus shortening the shelf life. What's more, a few manufacturers deliberately put a bottom cap on the bottom of the bottle while leaving air in the middle of the bottle.

5. Check the curing effect

After partial sizing, the user should first check the surface drying time of the glass glue according to the instructions on the product package. If the time is too short or too long, it indicates that there is a problem with the quality of the glass glue (of course, the influence of environmental conditions should also be considered). Then after the curing is completed (the curing time should also be specified by the manufacturer), test the hardness and elasticity of the glue by hand. Glue that is too hard or too soft is not a good glue. You can also cut the cross-section of the glue to check whether the curing effect of the glue inside and outside is consistent.
